OOTD: Are You Wearing Pants?

--- Outfit Details ---
Shirt: Pacsun
Denim "vest": Borrowed from my mother!
Pants: Volcom
Shoes: Forever21

The lighting was terrible today, it started to get overcast around 2 and by the time I got outside to take pictures the sun was on the wrong side of me and just everything was not working. I didn't take the photos in the pretty forest today because there was somebody walking their dog back there and I didn't want to awkwardly be taking photos of myself whilst the dog pees on trees in the background.

But anyways, any time I wear these pants I get at least one person saying "WOAH I thought you weren't wearing pants!!!" which is always nice to hear \m/ I just really like how they fit and how they're so comfortable so people will just have to get over the fact that I look naked from the waist down. I AM COMFORTABLE AND THAT'S WHAT MATTERS.

In other news, I did absolutely nothing today. I showered, did the dishes, took an ap psychcology quiz, and watched Keeping Up With the Kardashians. That's it. That's all I did. I'm making excellent use of my fall break.

Now, I am going to go and watch The Real Housewives of New York because I have no friends. I will talk at you all soon.

Until next time,
A

OOTD: Mosquito Militia

--- Outfit Details ---
Blouse: eBay (gift from my seeester)
Skirt: Forever21
Shoes: Amazon (100000 years ago...)

So, friends, I am currently sitting here writing this post as I scratch the skin off of my legs. Why? Because it rained today, friends. It rained and the standing water is a great nesting ground for mosquito larvae to fester. And fester, they did. They festered up my legs, my arms, my face, my SCALP. I was only out back for 10 minutes taking these photos and now I am covered in bites. This does not make for a happy Alissa, let me tell you.

Anyways, I love this shirt. My sister ordered it for me off of eBay because she is the best. It was only $15ish, shipping included! Sadly, it's pretty poorly made and I don't expect it to last very long but I will love it while I can. I love slouchy sheer tops. They are ridiculously comfortable and provide enough coverage to where I don't feel the need to wear a cardigan but are still very light and airy. I do not like to show my shoulder area, it's strange and I don't like it. BUT SHEER TOPS MAN, THEY SOLVE THIS PROBLEM.

But now, I am off to study and do homework and be a good student. It's what I do.

Until next time,
A

OOTD: Meet My Dog, Booby

--- Outfit Details ---
Dress: Borrowed from my mother!
Belt: Forever21
Shoes: Ross

My dogs name is not literally Booby. His name is Buster. But we call him Booby as well as Bubby, Bobo, Bubby, Buddy, Tard, and occasionally Buster. Oh and my sister calls him Kitty. I don't know where that came from. I had to take him for a walk and I figured I would take some outfit pictures while I'm outside. MULTI-TASKING: I AM GOOD AT IT.

In other news, I would just like to say that I wear my moms clothes more than my mom wears her clothes. This dress is so perfect. I love the tones of blues and greens and how they're sort of grayish instead of primary and bright. I like the neckline because I don't have to constantly be pulling up the dress and adjusting it all the time. The length is so perfect and it just fits so nice. I would like to hunt for pattern of some sort that matches this dress exactly because I want it in millions of prints and colors.

Anyways, I hope you're all having a fantastic week. It's almost Friday!

Until next time,
A

OOTD: Frolicking in the Woods in a Dress and Pearls \m/

--- Outfit Details ---
Dress: Garage sale
Sweater: Borrowed from my mother!
Shoes: Forever21
Bracelets: Forever21

Hello friends! I've been traveling under the radar in the blogosphere lately but I just wanted to share today's outfit with y'all pretty quickly. This is my favorite dress ever. My friend Jackie had a garage sale a month or so ago and I dropped by to say hi. I'm so glad I did. I found this beauty on one of the racks and paid only $10 for a dress that was only worn once. I love garage sales.

In other news, these shoes are falling apart. I have completely worn down the heels to the point where metal is sticking out and some of the fake leather is falling off at certain parts. But I love these shoes and I will wear them until it's only the laces left. I swear it.

I hope you're all having a great week, WE'RE ALMOST HALF WAY DONE WITH IT YES BE POSITIVE. I will talk at you all soon.

Until next time,
A

OOTD: Stare Into the Sun

Okay one of my eyes was closed because I was literally STARING INTO THE SUN.

--- Outfit Details ---
Dress: Thrifted
Tank top: Hurley
Shoes: Thrifted

Hi guys! Here are a couple of quick iPhone photos of my outfit from today. It's been getting crazy hot in Hawaii lately and it had me wishing I had more maxi skirts. It's like the coverage of jeans (so I don't have to shave my legs) with the comfort of a skirt. This happens to be my sisters dress so if you are reading this Caitlin hey I borrowed your dress today love you :3

I edited these photos using a cool iPhone app called VSCO cam. It's only 99 cents and boy is it AMAZING. It's more customizable than instagram and I don't have to share anything publicly if I don't want to (which means I can take countless pictures of myself and nobody will call me conceited!!!) This is starting to sound like a paid advertisement but I swear it's not, it's just a really cool app.

Anyways, school is going well and life is going well and things in general are going well. I will talk at you all soon!

Until next time,
A

OOTD: I Own More Than Two Shirts, I Promise

--- Outfit Details ---
Skirt: Thrifted
Button Up: Thrifted
Shoes: Ross, several years ago

The first outfit post I did, I was wearing this denim button up as a sort of cover up over a bodycon dress that I felt made me look like a strange individual without some sort of jacket on over it. Now, I wear it as a button up with the space skirt that I sewed! More like, altered. I blogged about this pretty little number a while back but to refresh our memories, I shall explain again. This used to be a very tight-in-the-wrong-places polyester halter dress. I was not a fan of it in that form. But the print was just so amazing,  I could not pass it up. I bought it and chopped off the top and bottom and hemmed them both. I decided not to add any elastic because it was already very form fitting. A body con skirt, of sorts. And I am absolutely smitten with it.

It's pretty hard for me to do these outfit posts, not only because I use a combination of tripod and tree balancing camera strap skills to take these photos. But also because I don't dress very interestingly on a day to day basis. Being in summer school and actually seeing real people should encourage me to dress nicer. But alas, I do not. So I'm trying my best here.

Anyways, have a great Wednesday! I will see y'all soon.

Until next time,
A

OOTD: Pinky Promise

Coming up with creative titles for these outfits is going to get hard in a hot minute here, guys. Pinky promise. Get it? Because my blazer is pink? Oh I make myself chuckle!!!

--- Outfit Details ---
Skirt: Gifted
Blazer: Gifted
Shirt: Charlotte Russe
Shoes: Forever21

This is the outfit I wore to my belated birthday dinner with my sister and my friend Jackie yesterday evening. We went to Bubba Gump and let me just say that shrimp mac and cheese is pretty darn DELICIOUS. Even though I bet I could make it myself. We shopped around and I tried desperately to find a swimsuit but alas, everything looked funny on me. Online shopping it is. And then we finally made a stop at the brand new Disney store and holy moly I wouldn't have had so much fun if it hadn't been for Jackie being so excited that she almost peed her little pantaloons the whole time. More than once. Oh the joys of Disney.

Overall, it was an awesome end to a boring day in summer school. I am happy I got to spend time with two of the most important gurls in my life. Now I am headed out to a day of super cut throat competitive bowling oh ho ho. Have a fantastic Caturday!

Until next time,
A

OOTD: Birthday Suit

Hello, friends. I frolicked around in my forest of a backyard trying to find a branch to hang my camera from. That is how much this blog means to me. So much. So much.

---Outfit Details---
Dress: Birthday present from my sister! Pacsun.
Shirt: Thrifted
Shoes: Ross... 2 years ago.

Psssst! My hair is still blue. It's crazy. But it's starting to turn green. Which is not too fun. Let's see how this plays out in the long run. That rhymed I am the next Shakespeare.

I'm looking forward to doing a lot more OOTD's and other things of that nature (get it? nature? like trees?) in my backyard and hopefully bringing out a tripod instead of resting my camera on a fence or hanging it by the strap on a sturdy tree branch. Hopefully I'll have a more interesting outfit going on next time too, but I just wanted to show off what I got for my birthday :3

In other news, summer school is really not too bad. So I can hopefully stick to that schedule I posted for the remainder of summer. I'll try my best herm herm herm.

Anyways, I hope you guys are all enjoying your summers and are not subjected to actual LEARNING or anything. I'm having enough fun for all of us, trust me.

Until next time,
A
